DVD: The Boat that Rocked, For retail & rental (Universal)
Four Weddings: funny. Notting Hill: not bad. Bridget Jones: decent. Love Actually: barely passable. Mr Bean's Holiday: oh dear. And so to TBTR, Richard Curtis's latest, which continues the plummeting trajectory.
Misogynistic, over-long and – worst of all – plain not funny, this is execrable. Retracing the story of Radio Caroline, The Boat... doesn't even make good use of the music of the period – and when the soundtrack to a film about music doesn't cut it, you know you're in trouble.
