The third instalment of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series picks up where the last left off. Lisbeth (Noomi Rapace) is to be tried for the attempted murder of her father (Georgi Staykov) and it's up to investigative journalist Mikael Blomkvist (Michael Nyqvist) to prove her innocence.
Rapace gives another stunning performance as Lisbeth, fragile and resilient in turns. Sadly, the film lacks the adrenaline-fuelled rush of its predecessors, soon slumping into a courtroom drama-cum-conspiracy thriller. Its only saving grace, apart from Rapace, is to provide audiences with a satisfactory conclusion.
