Adapted from Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer-winning novel, this horribly credible, chillingly beautiful and wholly uncompromising drama sees Viggo Mortensen struggling to keep his son alive as they trek through a post-apocalyptic wasteland of charred, limbless trees and deserted towns.

Very few films have been better at immersing the viewer in a completely realised other world, without any jolts to break the spell – and all without the aid of 3D glasses.
