'Wanted' is the Hollywood debut of Russian director Timur Bekmambetov, and it's much like his previous films – ie, flashy, but with no coherent story. James McAvoy, with an impressive six-pack and a less impressive American accent, plays an accountant who is told by Angelina Jolie that he's the world's deadliest assassin. He joins her in a band of killers who have their targets chosen for them by the "Loom of Fate". The Sewing Machine of Destiny would have made more sense.
