"You're like a machine, Mia," explains Peter Wight's podgy handler to his best assassin, a pre-op transsexual gamely played by Chloë Sevigny, patchy Irish accent and all.
However, the contract killer's life is sent into a tailspin when she finds out that she's a father to 11-year-old Ryan (Jorden Bennie, excellent). She very quickly becomes momma Mia to four parentless children on a remote farm. Hit and Miss, created by Paul Abbott, is preposterous, murky and very watchable hokum.
