Fearless (15)

This, according to its star Jet Li, will be the last martial arts movie he ever makes, and if we could get that in writing I'd feel a whole lot happier. Based on a true story, it recounts the life of Chinese folk hero Huo Yuanjia who, humiliated by his father's death in a public duel, determines never to be defeated in combat. A wise man tells him along the way, "Your most formidable enemy lies within you", though this doesn't put a noticeable crimp in Li's high-kicking style of attack or his ability to put every opponent he faces in the hospital. It's directed by Ronny Yu, who also made Bride of Chucky, so it's best not to expect much in the way of nuance.
