"Genesis" is a pretty grand word for this cash-in prequel to the Spanish-infected blood saga, which starts out in the sunlit calm of a fancy wedding before plunging into zombie mayhem.
The happy couple (Leticia Dolera, Diego Martin) have no sooner led off the dancing than an uncle is vomiting blood and biting chunks out of another guest.
Director Paco Plaza's hand is always hovering about the parody switch, which is well and truly flicked once the bride picks up a chainsaw and takes the fight to her blood-sucking pursuers.
Narrative logic trails behind, having been pounced on and savaged like everything else.
