Looks like dungeons vs. dragons in 3D at the box office this weekend as Greek gods go head-to-head with monsters in Clash of the Titans and Vikings face fire-breathing foes in How to Train Your Dragon - last week's champion.

The victor in the ticket tug over the Easter break will likely be the Titans, as the newest "must-see" action event. With horror, history and battle scenes to attract broad audiences, this fantasy adventure should defeat rivals with its spectacle.

Since the film was converted to 3D, the 2D version should also be a good viewing experience, which will help with the 3D scheduling bottleneck with Dragons sharing about half the 3D screens, plus holdover Alice in several hundred. Some theaters will wait to show Titans in 3D at midnight.

Internationally, Dragons rolls out in more countries, so could take the box office overseas this weekend, as Titans ramps up its release schedule through April around the world.

Other films opening wide in the US this week include The Last Song, starring Miley Cyrus, and Tyler Perry's Why Did I Get Married Too, featuring singer Janet Jackson. Both are expected to enjoy good showings at the box office with specific limited audiences.

Clash of the Titans also features Sam Worthington from Avatar, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, so the star power will draw moviegoers to this mythological epic.
