'Twilight' sweeps MTV Movie Awards

In the battle between
Harry Potter and
Twilight Saga, the two leading nominees at the 20th MTV Movie Awards show on June 5, the film that took the biggest bite of the Golden Popcorn trophies was 2010's
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

The film won five awards: Best Male Performance to Robert Pattinson, Best Female Performance to Kristen Stewart, Best Kiss, Best Fight and Best Movie.

Fan votes helped Eclipse beat out other nominees for Best Movie including Black Swan, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Inception and The Social Network.

Between the racy presentations and winners' acceptance speeches, three anticipated film clips premiered, for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and Super 8, opening June 10 in North America.

Producer Steven Spielberg, director J.J. Abrams and the young stars of Super 8, Elle Fanning and Joel Courtney, introduced the film's new extended trailer. Emma Watson presented a brief Harry Potter excerpt, and Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner set up the debut of the first Breaking Dawn trailer.

Hosted by Jason Sudeikis of Saturday Night Live, who stars in Hall Pass and the upcoming comedy Horrible Bosses, the show opened with a spoof of films from The Hangover Part II to Black Swan and a reference to MTV's elaborate set at the Gibson Amphitheatre as "Lady Gaga's bedroom."

Other winners of MTV's Movie Awards include:

Best Comedic Performance: Emma Stone for Easy A
Best Breakout Star: Chloe Moretz for Kick-Ass
Best Badass in a Movie: Chloe Moretz in Kick-Ass
Best Scared-As-S**t Performance: Ellen Page in Inception
Best Line from a Movie: "I want to get chocolate wasted" by 8-year-old Alexys Nycole Sanchez in Grown Ups
Best Fight: Robert Pattinson and Bryce Dallas Howard from Twilight Eclipse
Best Jaw-Dropping Moment: Justin Bieber in Never Say Never

And the only award Harry Potter received went to Tom Felton as Best Villain in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1.

The Foo Fighters performed their new single "Fight" and Lupe Fiasco and Trey Songz took the stage together for a medley including the hit single "Out of My Head."
