Starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf, the movie depicts the last months of the war as the Allies made their final push in the European Theatre.
Pitt plays US Army sergeant Wardaddy, who commands a Sherman tank called Fury and its five-strong crew.
“You think it can’t get worse; it can and it will,” he intones over the opening footage of the trailer.
“The dying’s not done; the killing’s not done.”
Logan Lerman (The Perks of Being a Wallflower; Noah) plays the team’s new-comer, while LaBeouf , Michael Pena and Jon Bernthal complete the group, as they battle against tremendous odds in a bid to defeat the Nazis.
The trailer shows a world that is dark, unpredictable and violent, in which the men must “do your job; do what you’re here for” – a secret mission which takes them behind enemy lines.
Ayer promises it will be “a movie about World War II, the likes of which we haven’t seen before”.
Fury is due for release in the UK from November.
