ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION (right) was a close contender for this year's Mercury Music Prize thanks to its stunning album Rafi's Revenge, an exciting blend of rock/rap and techno. They might not have the great chart hits, but are certainly big on stage presence, political lyrics and a passionate vibe. Plus, the group puts its money where its mouth is: they contribute to the Liverpool Dockers Benefit Concerts, and have set up a music community workshop in their home town.
