Artist spotlight: Theatre503

Theatre503 is the award-winning home of fearless, irreverent and provocative new plays. Lead by artistic directors Tim Roseman and Paul Robinson since 2006, 503 has become known for its brave and bold new work, nurturing emerging artists and nimbly reacting to developments in current affairs.

Don’t miss Theatre503 performing Billy Chickens Is A Psychopath Superstar, a brand new play by Brad Birch, in the Theatre Arena at Latitude 2012!

We caught up with Paul Stocker, an actor with the company, to chat about what to expect from Theatre503’s performance, the ‘Mod God’ Paul Weller and the domino-playing wolf he encountered at Latitude 2011…

Which latitude are you on right now?

A car park rehearsal space in Wembley

Tell us a little bit more about what we can expect from your performance at Latitude this year.

A lot of swear words and a rip roaring good time

Who’s your must-see performance at Latitude this year?

It’s got to be the Mod God, Mr Paul Weller

If any artist could do a guest appearance with you at Latitude who would that be and why?

The martial 'artist' Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris doesn't do push UPS, he pushes the world DOWN, and I'd like to be there to see that

What’s the first thing you pack when setting off to a festival?

Other than a great attitude, socks

Tell us a surprising fact about you

I'm half Colombian

What’s been your weirdest festival experience?

Being awoken at 4am, last year at Latitude, by a wolf wanting to play dominos

Summarise Latitude in seven words

Rave in the woods till I die

Fill in the gap, “Baa baa Latitude sheep, have you any ______ ?"

Wool that isn't spray painted

What else are you working on at the moment?

Being a Dad
