Letter: Bishops in Lords
Sir: Archbishops' Council representative Philip Mawer conspicuously fails to address the democratic objections to religious representatives in the reformed House of Lords.
Does his council want the Royal Commission to recommend representatives of the many non-religious? Of course not.
Unless a satisfactory representation can be established for those of all religions and none, no religious representatives should have the right to seats.
