Letter: I back the fox

Sir: Alasdair Mitchell (letter, 29 November) is quite right to point out that there is no monopoly on morality - at least in the sense that moral questions should be subject to argument. However, the assertion that "rural people tend to be more in touch with nature than their urban cousins" will not do as an argument, being the philosophical equivalent of the parental "Because I say so."
