Sir: My diary tells me that we will enjoy the following weekday holidays over the Christmas and Millennium period: Monday 27 December, Friday 31 December (the "Millennium Holiday") and Monday 3 January. Last year we had Friday 25 December, Monday 28 December and Friday, 1 January. So the number of holidays over the Millennium has been dramatically increased from three to - well, three.
