Sir: There is a consensus (a growing consensus, I hope) that unemployment can be substantially reduced, even eliminated, by increasing taxation to provide the funds to exploit opportunities which will lead to the creation of new jobs. At present, any party that proposes to increase taxation is unelectable.
Supposing these two statements to be true, is this the opportune time to promote a change in the electoral process and introduce proportional representation?
