Letter: Who lost the peace?

Sir: Now that Ulster's loyalist politicians have declined the opportunity to take part in a devolved assembly, let us hope their electors ask them some very searching questions when the time comes for their re-election.

It is a sad fact that the people will have to continue to lead the politicians towards a lasting peace, rather than the other way round.
