On November 11, A Tribe Called Quest will release their final album, We Got It From Here, Thank You for Your Service, following an 18-year wait.

Today, Q-Tip revealed, in an interview with The New York Times, that the album will feature plenty of special guests including André 3000, Kendrick Lamar, Jack White, Busta Rhymes, and Elton John. Tip said that all recording sessions took place in his home studio in New Jersey.

“It’s one of those scenarios where we’re so excited to finally get to work together that it was exploding in a whole different direction,” Tip said of White in the interview.

“He just took a guitar off the wall and plugged it in and just got his wizard on.”

All four group members, including Phife Dawg who passed earlier this year, will be on the album. While speaking to The Times, Tip admitted that he wasn’t aware of how serious Phife’s health problems had become.

“I had no idea that his days was numbered,” he explained before apparently becoming so emotional he was unable to speak.

“I just want to celebrate him, you know?”
