Beyoncé has release a new music video for the song “7/11”, the sixth single from her self-titled album which came out last year.

The three and a half minute clip shows the US star dancing around an apartment building and hotel in her underwear, accompanied by friends.

Scenes include the construction of a human pyramid and a scene in which Beyoncé bounces on her bed.

Keen eyed viewers will spot what looks like the singer's daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, on her bed during some scenes.

The video appears to have been shot on a mobile phone, lacking the professional production of most videos. At one point the star picks up the camera and points it at herself, mimicking the popular ‘selfie’ style of photography.

During the course of the video the singer appears to drink alcohol from typical American party ‘red cups’ while the lyrics of the song repeat “I know I'm thinkin' bout that alcohol”.

Activities depicted in the video appear to be a reference to US “sorority” culture at the American universities.

Beyoncé’s latest album has sold more than five million copies worldwide.
