When it comes to 50th birthday parties, you can’t do much better than Gavin Friday . His childhood friend, U2’s Bono, helped arrange a star-studded benefit concert at New York Carnegie Hall featuring performers from Rufus Wainwright to Scarlett Johannson. Big Think talked to Friday in advance of his concert about his career, Irish alcoholism, and the music business.
