Pete Doherty toasts the camera while Carl Barât strums a guitar at his side; a young, sweaty, Foo Fighters grin backstage after a show; Amy Winehouse looks down and bites her thumb, hiding a mischievous grin beneath – these are just a few of the images captured by NME photographers over the years, framing pieces of rock 'n' roll history in the process.

The NME Collection is a set of 25 iconic images from the pages of the legendary music magazine, reproduced by Sonic Editions, to celebrate the publications 60th birthday today.
