Vocals - Johnny Hartman

There has never been a voice that can sooth and entrance me quite like Johnny Hartman. The sepia Sinatra (I'm sure he had that name before Billy Eckstine) puts all others to shame. His work with John Coltrane was one of those rare moments where people at the top of their field can put ego aside and combine effortlessly.

Guitar - Prince

This way I get to have Prince in the band AND have another vocalist. I don't feel I really have to explain this one. It's Prince.

Bass - Matt Freeman

He should command enough respect from the rest of the band to be able to rein the egos in. And if any of the egos refuse to be reined in, then we can always look for another guitarist...

Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip play The Queen's Head Stage at Glastonbury on 27 June. Their album Logic Of Chance is out now.
