Meg Mathews took her daughter Anais Gallagher and Jude Law's daughter Iris to the Capital 95.8 FM Summertime Ball at London's Emirates Stadium, where they were seen dancing and eating candyfloss. The snazzy VIP hospitality area, for 1,200 invitation-only guests, had its own private entrance, designed like a giant radio with speakers. It was reached through a hall of fame tunnel, with moving images of all the performers, including Katy Perry and Dizzee Rascal, who were taking part in the mini pop festival.
Producer Mark Ronson and his protégé Daniel Merriweather who performed together at the show, sat in the 50s-style American diner area, which perfectly matched their Teddy Boy look. Blue, who made a comeback for the concert and were ecstatic after a duet with Lionel Richie, tucked into sushi from a moving conveyor belt.
With no backstage area for artists, the party was swarming with the night's acts, including Leona Lewis, Akon, The Noisettes and Alesha Dixon, who had performed to over 55,000 fans. Capital's breakfast duo and show hosts Johnny Vaughan and Lisa Snowdon also popped in when they had a free moment.
Guests were close to the action with a private seating area outside the VIP suite. Usherettes went up and down the aisles with food and drink, so they didn't have to miss the show. The tennis star Anna Kournikova, currently dating Enrique Iglesias, looked on as he pulled a girl fan on stage for a kiss whilst performing his hit "Hero" – but that's all part of a day's work in show business.
