Twenty-two-year-old model Pattie Boyd pictured just after her civil wedding to 23-year-old George Harrison on 21 January 1966, at Epsom Register Office in Surrey. Best Man, Paul McCartney, the only other Beatle to attend the wedding, is pictured on her right above. George and Pattie's 'secret' wedding took place at 10.00am. It was attended by Brian Epstein, Paul McCartney, Pattie's parents and five siblings, George's parents and brothers and other close family members. The bride wore a pinky-red shot silk Mary Quant dress, cream-coloured stockings, pointy red shoes, and a Mary Quant red fox-fur coat that had been a gift from George. They left the Register Office in a Rolls-Royce Princess, for a reception at Kinfauns, their bungalow in Esher. The day after their wedding they were forced to endure a press conference that Brian Epstein had set up. Harrison told reporters that he had proposed to Pattie the day they met on the set of A Hard Day's Night in 1964. They flew to Barbados for their honeymoon a few days later.
