In this video Jack and George Barnett of These New Puritans talk about their upcoming series of live performances with an 18-piece orchestra, which kicks off on Saturday at the Barbican in London with the Britten Sinfonia.

Over the next couple of months they'll take the show to the Pompidou Centre in Paris, Barcelona Town Hall and Tokyo.

The live shows will recreate the full cinematic sound of their acclaimed second album, Hidden, released earlier this year.

Conductor Andre De Ridder, who has previously worked with Gorillaz, will lead the 18-piece woodwind and brass orchestra at the live dates.

Here, Jack and George describe the difficulties of working with an orchestra and each other, and how to mic the sound of a mallet smashing a melon in the Barbican.
