Glastonbury confirmed the news, adding that the “212” singer will be replaced by four-piece rock band The Strypes.

She told Billboard: “Today I was put on vocal rest by my doctor which is forcing me to cancel Glastonbury.

“You have no idea how frustrated and said this makes me because I lvoe the UK and Glastonbury so much, you have all supported me from the early days and I was really looking forward to putting on an incredible show for you all, rain or shine!”

Banks was on form for her Coachella performance in April, singing a tight, fautless 45 minute set.

The rapper had been off the live scene since trying to complete her debut album Broke with Expensive Taste, which she finished in 2014, three years after the releas of her hit single “212”.
