Kanye West, a prolific blogger for years, set up a Twitter account on July 28. Among his tweets, which earned the rapper 200,000 followers within one day, West has begun sharing details about his highly anticipated forthcoming album.

In late May, West released the track "Power," the first to come off his upcoming album, which has yet to get a firm due date but which has been titled Good Ass Job. The album will be the follow-up to four previous chart-topping albums that have earned 12 Grammy Awards.

On his newly opened and already much-used Twitter account, West has so far shared a single detail about the new album: "The album is no longer called 'Good Ass Job' I'm bouncing a couple of titles around now."

Other details about the new album have slowly been emerging. On July 27 and 28, West premiered new material for two unusual audiences: the staff at Facebook and Twitter headquarters in California's Silicon Valley. New songs included "My Chain Heavy," "Sweat on My Face," and "Lost in the World."

The rapper's Twitter account earned 90,000 followers within eight hours and 200,000 within a day, and the #PredictingKanyeTweets hashtag has rapidly become a top trending topic.
