Announced on October 13 on Michael Jackson's official website, Epic/Legacy Recordings is releasing
Michael Jackson's Vision on November 22, making available the entire library of short films and videos produced by the star during his career as a solo artist.
Packaged as a box set, Michael Jackson's Vision includes three DVDs featuring 40 remastered videos, including 10 previously unavailable on DVD. The debut release of a clip for the hit single "One More Chance," written by Jackson and the American R&B artist and producer R. Kelly, is also featured.
The package also includes a full-length version of the famed zombie classic "Thriller," directed by John Landis. Other highlights: "Bad," directed Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese; "Black or White"; and collaborations with directors John Singleton, Spike Lee, and David Fincher.
Also available is a limited-edition version featuring a 60-page hardcover book with photos from Jackson's personal archives.
The video box set is part of a flood of posthumous releases, including a new album of previously unheard tracks by the King of Pop reportedly due out in November, although official dates have yet to be announced. The forthcoming album will be the first in a ten-album, seven-year deal inked by the Jackson Estate and Sony BMG following Jackson's death.
Also in the works is a video game dedicated to the star's signature dance moves and developed by French video game titan Ubisoft. Other Michael Jackson tributes include a Michael Jackson museum in his hometown of Gary, Indiana, and a Michael Jackson Cirque de Soleil show.
Jackson, who died on July 25, 2009, is recognized as the most successful entertainer of all time by the Guinness Book of World Records. His 1982 album Thriller is the best-selling album of all time, selling an estimated 110 million copies so far.
