Los Angeles duo Best Coast is the most popular act in the blogosphere on August 3, according to The Hype Machine. Canadian psychedelic rock band Black Mountain and Oregon experimental indie band Menomena are in second and third, while Everything Everything and Jens Lekman have both risen up the ranks this week.

Everything Everything is a British indie band that formed in 2007 and has released several singles leading up to its debut full-length album, due out August 30. The LP, Man Alive, is getting advance hype thanks to the release of the track "MY KZ, UR BF," which was originally released in 2009 and is now accompanied by a remix by the Leeds electronic musician Grum. The Get Downnn (thegetdownnn.wordpress.com) says Man Alive contains "plenty of finely-crafted indie dance jams" and calls the Grum remix of "Everything Everything" "80s-inspired genius."

Jens Lekman is a Swedish indie pop musician who now lives in Melbourne. The artist has released many EPs as well as two full-length albums and several singles and collaborations. Lekman has just come out with a new song, "The End of the Love is Bigger Than Love," which Kickin the Peanuts! (kickinthepeanuts.com) calls "an intimate, hopeful track whimsical, almost fairy tale-esque arrangements."
