Most blogged artists: Californian psych-pop band Ganglians drop new track

California-based psychedelic rockers Ganglians return to the music blogosphere with the release of a new track from their upcoming album, Still Living, releasing August 23 in the US/August 29 in Europe. Also on August 12 electronic pop artist Clock Opera, aka London's Guy Connelly, debuts in The Hype Machine's most blogged artists top ten.

"Drop the Act" is the lead track and third single from Ganglians' new album. "It's got a sunny nostalgia feeling to it, a Beach Boys-esque feel in the melodies, yet the hazy psych-pop we're coming to expect from this band," describes blogger Music Savage. "It also shows that Ganglians have really stepped up their game and improved since 2009's Monster Head Room," adds blogger 405.

Clock Opera, set to play UK's Reading and Leeds festivals this month, just announced his debut EP releasing on October 3 through Moshi Moshi/Island Records. The EP will feature a new title track called "Lesson No. 7," which bloggers are circulating, as well as a remix by London musician Tom Vek and another track entitled "Seven Hours." Clock Opera's debut full-length is expected to drop sometime next year.
