CocoRosie, the freak-folk duo formed by sisters Bianca "Coco" and Sierra "Rosie" Casady, is the most talked-about musical act in the blogosphere on April 6, according to The Hype Machine. Los Angeles pop group Dum Dum Girls and Northern Irish electro-pop indie band Two Door Cinema Club are in second and third place, and Aloe Blacc and The Aston Shuffle are new to the top ten.

Aloe Blacc is a soul singer and rapper from Southern California who began his career as an MC with indie rap group Emanon. His single "I Need a Dollar" is the theme song for the American TV show How to Make it in America, which just completed its first season on HBO. Hearsay (hearsay.alphaquam.com) calls the single "the anthem of the past year," and Crazy Birds (www.crazybirds.org) says "Mr. Aloe Blacc, we keep an eye on you this year." A video of the single has just been released, part of the promotion for Blacc's forthcoming album Good Things.

The Aston Shuffle is an Australian house music duo that became known for its remixes in 2006 and 2007 and has since become a regular feature on the well-respected Ministry of Sound compilations albums. The two just released a new single, "I Wanna See You," that is now being shared in the blogosphere. D Squared (danideahl.com) calls the track "gorgeous in its simplicity. A tiny vocal hook plus an unpretentious but compelling melody supplemented by unique fillers makes this a memorable tune."
