Crystal Castles remains the most talked-about act in the blogosphere on November 3, according to The Hype Machine. American rappers Kanye West and Kid Cudi hold the second and third positions, while Levek and Tame Impala rise in the top ten.
Levek, the project of former Florida school bus driver David Levesque, dropped a digital download of his new single "Look on the Bright Side" recently that has the blogosphere abuzz. The track, set to be released as a red-vinyl seven-inch on November 16, is described as an "original soul-infused and Curtis Mayfield-worthy" tune by blogger Everybody Taste (www.everybodytaste.com).
Returning to the top ten is Tame Impala, a psychedelic rock band from Western Australia, who released its debut album Innerspeaker in May. Bloggers are swapping a remix of the band's single "Lucidity" from the album by French producer Pilooski. "Pilooski takes the guitar driven track and completely changes the dynamic by removing the focus of the guitar by drowning out with drums, screams and other sounds effects," writes JP's Blog (jpsblog.net).
