Most blogged artists: La Sera, Warpaint, Blackbird Blackbird

La Sera, aka musician Katy Goodman, is the most popular act in the blogosphere according to The Hype Machine on October 12. Animal Collective's Avey Tare drops one to second place, while Atlanta rock outfit Deerhunter stays in third. Also in the day's top ten: California-based artists Warpaint and Blackbird Blackbird.
The Los Angeles all-female rock troupe Warpaint was last in the blogs after releasing a new single from its upcoming October 25 full-length release, The Fool. The single, "Undertow," now has a video clip all its own that "fits the track like a glove," writes Off the Radar (www.offtheradarmusic.com). "I like the song but what I find more interesting about the video is that it was directed by former member and actress Shannyn Sossamon, who is apparently the sister of the bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg," writes JP's Blog (jpsblog.net).
Blackbird Blackbird, the project of San Francisco musician Mikey Sanders, was in the blogs last month after releasing a slew of new tracks on its website, including "Modern Disbelief" and a cover of Modest Mouse's "Float On." Now Sanders has released more tracks, including "Breaking" and "Little Respect," featuring samples from Aretha Franklin's "Respect." "Breaking," a collaboration with Manchester-based Star Slinger and Canadian rapper Emay, features "the very best gems of their own music blended together in one, sparkly track," blogs No Fear of Pop (nofearofpop.blogspot.com).
