Most blogged artists: Of Montreal, Best Coast, Wild Nothing

Indie rock band Of Montreal continues to be the most blogged act on The Hype Machine on June 30 after sharing a track from its forthcoming album. Electronic funk duo Chromeo and indie trio Blonde Redhead are in the second and third spots, while Best Coast and Wild Nothing have just re-entered the top ten.

Best Coast - Los Angeles musician Bethany Cosentino and bassist Bobb Bruno - became known to indie music lovers through a string of garage rock 7" singles and a four-song EP in 2009. The duo has just released the track "Boyfriend" from debut full-length album Crazy for You, which is due out July 27. Tympanogram (tympanogram.com) writes of the new track, "It's breezy and longing, and is pretty definitive of what Best Coast is going to deliver on their debut full length."

Wild Nothing is the solo project of Jack Tatum, who previously performed with the punk act Facepaint. The artist released his debut album, Gemini, in late May, and is now back in the blogs with the release of the track "Your Rabbit Feet" from just-released EP Evertide. The EP is the first to be released by new label Warmest Chord, which will reportedly accompany each of its releases with a limited-edition screenprint and a digital mixtape by the featured band.
