Most blogged artists: Sufjan Stevens, Acid Washed, Arcade Fire

Indie musician Sufjan Stevens continues his streak as the most popular act on The Hype Machine on September 3, with rapper Kanye West and Philadelphia rock band The War on Drugs remaining in second and third. Acid Washed and Arcade Fire have both re-entered the top ten.

Paris-based duo Acid Washed was last a top-blogged act after remixing the David Guetta-produced track "Accapella" by American R&B singer Kelis. The two have just announced the release of a 12" of their new self-titled single, and to promote it they have shared a remix of the track by Danger that will be included on the album. Trash Bag Kids reviews the Danger (www.trashbagskids.com) remix, "From the regal 16bit intro to the eerily driving synths and beats, the whole track possesses a haunting dystopic-futuristic undertone."

Canadian rock band Arcade Fire is one of the most talked-about bands of the moment following the release of its chart-topping third album The Suburbs and the launch of several innovative interactive projects alongside it. The band is back in the blogs as fans share several MP3s of its headlining performance at the UK's Reading Festival (highlights of the group's performance can be seen at http://www.bbc.co.uk/music/festivals/readingandleeds/2010). To Die By Your Side (todiebyyourside.com) says of the band's performance there, "The band oozed confidence, proving their worth as a headline act and delivering the kind of anthemic, celebrational, life affirming and communal experience that festival headline sets are supposed to provide."
