UK rock band Yuck climb into the top spot on The Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart on April 6. American folk rockers Fleet Foxes drop into second place, while US electronic duo Holy Ghost! jumps three spots into third. Also The Antlers reenter the blog chart with a new track.
Brooklyn synth pop duo Holy Ghost! are hot in the blogs in the days before the release of their much-hyped debut self-titled LP. "My advice to anyone who wants to stay up-to-date with the latest and greatest music trends of 2011 is to jump immediately on the Holy Ghost! bandwagon," advises blog Circle Square Triangle (circlesquaretriangle.tv). Bloggers are also swapping a disco remix of the second single on the album, a track dubbed "Wait and See," by indie DJ duo Flight Facilities.
Fronted by Peter Silberman, Brooklyn-based trio The Antlers received rave reviews for their 2009 LP Hospice, and momentum is building for the release of their sophomore effort, Burst Apart. The band just released a new track from the album dubbed "Parentheses" that provides "a groovy, heavily textured sound that is reminiscent of early Radiohead or Portishead," writes blog Music for Kids Who Can’t Read Good (musicforants.com).
