ENVIRON-MENTAL AT BESTIVAL!

Last year Bestival was one of only 13 festivals worldwide to be awarded an 'Outstanding' Greener Festival Award. This year they're pulling out all the stops to make Bestival an even greener and more envionmentally friendly event, and have signed up to the 10:10 campaign , making a firm commitment to reducing their carbon footprint.

10:10 is an ambitious project to unite every sector of society behind one simple idea: cutting emissions by 10% in 2010. It was conceived by the team behind climate blockbuster The Age Of Stupid and is run by a small independent team, supported by an army of volunteers and a dream team of partner organisations including ActionAid, Comic Relief, the Energy Saving Trust, the Carbon Trust, the Public Interest Research Centre and many more. Low-carbon printer manufacturer Kyocera Mita and Eaga, the UK’s largest supplier of heating and renewable energy, were the campaign’s original sponsors.
