Adele will perform her hit Bond theme "Skyfall" at this year's Oscars - her first live performance since last year's Grammy Awards.
The performance, in Los Angeles on 24 February, will be the first time she has sung the song live on stage.
Skyfall is in the running for the best original song award at this year's Oscars and is the first Bond song nominated since "For Your Eyes Only" in 1981.
She said: "It's an honour to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again.
"It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once."
Adele was in Hollywood last month to pick up the Golden Globe for the best original song prize.
The singer - who attended the ceremony with Robbie Williams's wife Ayda Field - has kept a low profile since she gave birth in October. She and boyfriend Simon Konecki have still to reveal the name of their son, although she took the opportunity to dedicate the award to him.
As she collected her award, Adele gushed: "Oh my God - honestly, I came out for a night out with my friend Ayda - we're new mums. We've literally come for a night out.
"I was not expecting this. It's very strange to be here - thank you so much for letting me be a part of your world for a night. It's amazing, we've been pissing ourselves laughing at all of it."
She went on: "And this is for my boyfriend Simon who convinced me to do it and for my lovely son - thank you so much."
