The Prodigy have been announced as the first act to headline Benicassim Festival in Spain this year.
The dance act will be joined by Florence and the Machine, Portishead, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Clean Bandit and Bastille.
Alternative dance band Crystal Fighters, US hip hop group Public Enemy and Swedish singer-songwriter MØ will also perform at the festival in the seaside resort in Valencia.
The Prodigy recently released their new single “Nasty” following a six year break.
They are due to release their sixth studio album, The Day Is My Enemy, on 30 March, and will then begin a European tour.
The act are also co-headlining the Friday night of this year’s Isle of Wight Festival with The Black Keys on 12 June.
Benicassim director Melvin Benn said: "The international festival that started the concept of international festivals enters its 3rd decade and what a wonderful feeling it is for me to be part of it.
"The third decade represents the real start for me and, as well as a stellar line-up of Main and Second Stage acts we are announcing -The Prodigy - among them, I'm also very keen to highlight the new areas of the festival we are developing this year, Trenchtown and Bearded Kitten."
Benicassim takes place from 16-19 July. Tickets are on sale now.Reuse content
