Cheryl Cole has achieved her fourth solo UK number one with “Crazy Stupid Love” after the song topped the Official Singles Chart.
The single is Cheryl Cole’s ninth number one in total, including four chart toppers with Girls Aloud and her appearance on the 2010 charity cover of “Everybody Hurts”, placing her alongside Rita Ora and Geri Halliwell as only the third British female singer to achieve the same success.
Cheryl Cole, who recently changed her name after marring French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini, has previously reached number one with her solo singles “Fight For This Love” (2009), “Promise This" (2010) and “Call My Name” (2012).
“Crazy Stupid Love” has knocked Rixton’s “Me and My Broken Heart” off the top of the Official Singles Chart, while Canadian newcomers Magic! climbed to number two with their reggae-infused debut “Rude.”
Elle Henderson’s “Ghosts” climbs to number three, George Ezra’s “Budapest” is also up one place to fourth, while Ariana Grande’s “Problem ft Iggy Azalea” slides three places to number five.
In the album charts, Ed Sheeran maintained his number one spot with X for the fifth week running, achieving the longest consecutive number one album since Adele’s 21 in 2011.Reuse content
