US hip hop band Cypress Hill will perform on the second last day of the of the five-day Rock in Rio Madrid music festival in Spain, in June, organisers said Monday.
The California-based band, which will release its eighth album "Ride Up" in April, will take the stage on June 11 before the headline performance by US rockers Rage Against the Machine, they said in a statement.
Rock in Rio Madrid will be staged at Rock City, a 200,000-square-metre (2,152,000-square-foot) area in Aranda del Rey, some 20 kilometres (12 miles) outside Madrid, over two weekends in June.
Artists lined up so far are Bon Jovi on the first day on June 4; Shakira and Rihanna on June 5; Miley Cyrus on June 6 and Metallica on June 14.
Rock in Rio was first held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in January 1985.
Subsequent editions of the music festival have been staged in Lisbon and Madrid have been arranged by its Brazilian founder, Roberto Medina.
This will be the second Rock in Rio Madrid. The first in 2008 was attended by 290,000 music fans.
