Taylor Swift shows off some dodgy dance moves, headbangs to a ballad and cannot believe Daft Punk won

She might have left the Grammy Awards empty-handed, but Taylor Swift more than made up for her musical shortcomings with a string of memorable awkward moments.

Think headbanging, over-the-top dance moves (when nobody else was dancing…) and a cringeworthy display of arrogance.

Swift, 24, has never been one for humility, but her facial expression as Daft Punk's Random Access Memories won Album of the Year over Red sealed the deal – Taylor loves herself a little bit too much.

The "Love Story" singer looked gobsmacked as she looked around in disbelief at the snub. Soon, a clip of her reaction went viral on social media, with many music fans attacking her for being a sore loser.

Luckily, Swift refrained from 'doing a Kanye' and swiping the award out of Daft Punk's robotic hands. Back in 2009 at the MTV Video Music Awards, West stormed on-stage as Swift accepted the Female Video of the Year prize, grabbed the trophy and claimed that Beyoncé should have won instead.

Last night, Swift clearly backed her dancefloor skills too. The pop star was filmed confidently rocking out in the front row to performances by Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons.

There’s nothing wrong with an enthusiastic boogie but when most others are sitting down, and when your ghetto-style moves leave a lot to be desired, the limelight is best left to those on-stage.

Even during her own performance of break-up ballad "All Too Well", Swift could not resist whipping her head back and forth at the piano, leading to yet more online berating. Metal and country are now as one, apparently.

Despite being nominated for four Grammy Awards and having won seven in past years, Swift was forced to head home with nothing. Big winners on Sunday night included Daft Punk, Pharrell Williams, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Lorde and Justin Timberlake.
