Echoing the feelings of many after he won pretty much every award at The Grammys on Sunday, Sam Smith has confessed that he doesn't get why people like him so much either.
In an interview CBS screened after the ceremony, Smith said: "Even now I doubt myself, I don't understand what the big fuss is.
"I don't understand what people hear in my voice," he added. "I can't hear it myself."
The Brit took home four awards, the most of any artist, on Sunday night, beating Sia's Chandelier to Song of the Year and Haim to Best New Artist.
A lot of viewers weren't happy with the winner choices this year, and nor was Kanye West.
He almost gave a repeat performance of his Taylor Swift interruption in 2007 when he started to climb the stairs to the stage during Beck's acceptance speech for Album of the Year, before turning back at the last minute.
It looked to be a joke, but Kanye later admitted he was indeed incensed by the choice and felt Beck should "respect artistry" and give it to Beyonce.
There was no protest from Beck.
Asked later whether he agreed that Beyoncé should have won the award, he said "absolutely".
"I thought she was going to win. Come on she's Beyoncé!"
"You can't please everybody, man," he added. "I still love him [Kanye] and think he's genius. I aspire to do what he does."Reuse content
