Canadian reggae fusion band Magic! have topped the charts with their debut single ‘Rude’, pushing Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Tinie Tempah’s ‘Crazy Stupid Love’ into second place.

The track from the four-piece from Toronto entered the charts a month ago thanks to audio streams, before climbing an impressive 49 places to clinch number one.

Magic! are made up of singer-songwriter Nasri, guitarist Mark Pellizzer, drummer Alex Tanas and Ben Spivak on bass.

‘Rude’ is from the band’s first album Don’t Kill the Magic and the song has clocked up 1.4 million in audio streams.

Elsewhere, former X Factor contestant Ella Henderson held strong in the top five with her debut song ‘Ghost’.

She wasn’t the only Simon Cowell success story though, the cheeky, pint-sized rappers from Britain’s Got Talent Bars and Melody’s track ‘Hopeful’ is in at number five.

Meanwhile in the Official Albums Chart, Ed Sheeran enjoyed another week at the top spot with his record ‘X’.

Last week he beat Adele’s record for the longest consecutive album run at number one and now he has outsold his closest rival Dolly Parton and her record Blue Smoke – The Best Of.
