Marilyn Manson has announced he is to “part ways” with bandmate Jeordie White - also known as Twiggy Ramirez - following sexual assault allegations against the bass player.

While the rock musician failed to overtly mention the allegations in his tweet, Manson's decision has arrived in the wake of rape accusations made by singer Jessicka Addams.

“I have decided to part ways with Jeordie White as a member of Marilyn Manson,” he wrote. “He will be replaced for the upcoming tour. I wish him well.”

Addams - a member of the band Jack Off Jill - came forward with her allegations on Saturday (21 October) detailing her relationship with White in the 90s that she says turned physically violent in the ensuing months.

She claimed that during a tour break with Nine Inch Nails, the musician “forced [her] on to the floor with his hand around [her] neck” before raping her.

“I said NO. I said NO. I said it so loud enough, that Pete came rushing in from the other room to get him off of me. But I had been raped. I had been raped by somebody I thought I loved,“ she wrote.

White is yet to respond to the allegations.
