Canadian indie rock band Born Ruffians is the most talked about musical act in the blogosphere, according to The Hype Machine, followed by British alternative/electronic act Gorillaz and New Jersey indie band Titus Andronicus. Other artists getting buzz on March 5 include Foals and Thom Yorke.

Oxford, England indie dance-punk band Foals is in the blogs after announcing the May release of its second album, Total Life Forever. One track is so far available from the album, "Spanish Sahara," and bloggers are sharing both the original single and a remix by DJ/producer Mount Kimbie. This Music Wins (thismusicwins.blogspot.com) writes, "Spanish Sahara provides us with a surprisingly downbeat recording, drawing from trip-hop, post-rock and ambient music to display marked changes from the hyperactive guitar pop of Foals' universally well-received past."

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke is also in a top spot today after having performed several new songs at a show in Cambridge, England that may make their way onto a future album. A complete recording was made of the show, and bloggers are passing around MP3s of songs including "Mouse Dog Bird," "I Froze Up," and "Give Up the Ghost." A Reminder (www.a-reminder.org) reviews, "I think Give Up The Ghost might be the pick of the bunch at this point. I love the way Thom uses loop pedals in the performance and wouldn't mind Radiohead using this kind of thing more often on stage."
