One Direction tribute band One and Only Direction should be watching their backs after incurring the wrath of the formidable 'Directioners'.
Livid fans of the X Factor pop group have been attacking the lookalike impersonators on Twitter, under the aggressive hashtag #STOPyouarenot1D.
Many posts cruelly hit out at One and Only Direction’s appearances while other comments involve violence, with one user even encouraging others to “kill anyone who tries to be like 1D”.

Some tweets are showing support for the tribute group, telling obsessed fans to “chill” and “get a grip”, including one from fellow 1D fakers Only One Direction.
One and Only Direction perform the boyband’s repertoire of hits at nightclubs, hotel events and parties across the world.
They are so convincing that two pretenders - Richard Dickson and Liam Fergusson, both of whom look scarily like their 1D counterparts Harry Styles and Niall Horan – were mobbed by fans at a One Direction gig in Edinburgh after being mistaken for the real band members.
The real One Direction deal are yet to comment on the #STOPyouarenot1D scandal.
