Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has recorded a CBeebies Bedtime Story

Josh Homme has recorded a CBeebies bedtime story after the successful readings by Tom Hardy, Chris Evans, and Elbow's Guy Garvey.

The Queens of the Stone Age frontman told NME that he recorded the episode the day before the band's surprise performance at Reading & Leeds festival last weekend.

Taboo star Hardy was arguably the most popular, appearing in a Valentine's Day edition as well as the last episode of 2016, when he read You Must Bring a Hat by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley.

An air-date for Homme's episiode has yet to be announced.

Queens of the Stone Age just released their new album Villains, which was produced by Mark Ronson.

Homme told NME that Ronson's involvement had helped "prune" their audience of "racist, homophobic, misogynistic assholes".

"The idea is to have our audience be an open-minded group of individuals, I think that's why even picking Ronson initially [was] to chase people away," he added.

The band tour the UK in support of the record from November, and will perform at venues including the SSE Wembley Arena, Manchester Arena, and Usher Hall in Edinburgh.
