K-pop sensation Psy has revealed he is meeting with Queen guitarist Brian May to discuss the possibility of working together.

In an interview with Scott Mills on Radio 1, Psy revealed he has a meeting scheduled with May today, Tuesday 11 June.

“You remember that I was and I am a really huge fan of rock band Queen? It seems like I’m going to have a brunch with Brian May tomorrow,” he told the DJ yesterday.

Asked if he was planning a collaboration with May, Psy said: “Seems like it. I don’t know, I’m just going to eat tomorrow, but I’m super excited. The band was an inspiration to me since I was 14 or 15 until now.”

Psy, whose “Gentleman” video reached over 400 million views today, sounded upbeat despite recently being a victim of an impersonator at the Cannes Film Festival.

An unidentified man convinced officials he was the South Korean pop star, and managed to party with stars such as Skyfall actress Naomie Harris as well as appearing on a French TV show.

May does not seem the most likely contender to team up with the K-pop phenomenon, having recently attacked the popular talent show The Voice, calling it “absolutely the dullest, dumbest and most depressing programme on TV”.

He is also a vocal opponent of the government’s proposed badger cull.
