Somerset House Summer Series 2014 line-up: Bastille and Sam Smith among performers

Glasgow's Franz Ferdinand and synthpop trio Chvrches are also booked

Bastille, Sam Smith and Franz Ferdinand are among the eclectic acts booked to perform at Somerset House for this year’s Summer Series.

From 10-20 July, eleven acclaimed artists will take to the stage in London’s spectacular setting, with tickets costing £28.50 per gig.

Haunting English trio Daughter open the run, followed by the emotive rock of “High Hopes” quartet, Kodaline.

Next up is atmospheric singer-songwriter Agnes Obel and crazy Aussie collective The Cat Empire, before Kelis brings all the boys to the yard with her chart-topping “Milkshake”.

Bastille, the biggest-selling new British act of 2013, will perform tracks from their hit debut album Bad Blood on 15 July, followed by Glaswegian rock group Franz Ferdinand, synthpop trio Chvrches, man of the moment Sam Smith and rising electro stars Clean Bandit.

Yukimi Nagano and her Swedish school friends headline the grand finale as dance act Little Dragon.

Previous Summer Series have seen performances from Adele, Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris, Lily Allen, Sigur Ros, Elbow, The xx, Corinne Bailey Rae, The Prodigy and more.
